3 Color Traffic Light Sequencer

This simple Traffic Light Control is a complete timer unit which will operate a single, standard 3 light traffic signal. It is very compact and can be easily installed in the case of most lights in just minutes.

Antique and nostalgic traffic lights are a popular decoration in bars, restaurants, game rooms and anywhere one desires an automobilia motif. Retired (used) traffic lights are commonly available on the surplus market but until now one would have to buy a cabinet full of electronics just to make a light sequence like it would on the pole.

This timer module is only 2 by 4 inches so it easily fits inside the case of any traffic light. It's self contained, uses reliable, solid state technology circuitry so there are no relays, thermal switch (blinkers) or other mechanical components to wear out. Because it uses highly efficient solid state technology the entire controller uses less than 1 W of energy. The total energy consumption is almost totally dependent on the lamps used. (25 or 40 W bulbs are usually adequate for most indoor applications).

The speed of the sequence may be changed using the screwdriver adjustment on the top of the board. Because of its unique design it operates directly off the 120 Volt AC line. There are only six wires to connect All you need to add is the traffic light, an AC line cord and a little hookup wire. An easy to follow hookup diagram is included with each unit.
