⚠️ Attention Safety Managers!

Implementing a Safety Awareness Program? Looking for an affordable way to keep your staff informed of your current accident-free status?

The RYG 200mm RC Safety Awareness Signal provides a controlled, tamper-proof visual communication method with real-time status updates for your entire workforce.

  • 🟢 Green — Safe Condition: Communicates that everything is operating normally and all employees are working safely.
  • 🟡 Yellow — Caution: Signals a near-miss or deviation from normal behavior that should be documented and reviewed.
  • 🔴 Red — Danger / Urgency: Indicates an immediate hazard, a serious safety violation, or a lost-time accident. Flashing Red mode may also be used as a Take Shelter notification for weather-related or workplace lockdown situations.

Why It Works: Colors are processed by the brain faster than words, enabling split-second safety decisions. This universal visual language transcends linguistic and educational barriers, making it ideal for diverse workforces. Tracking real-time data — such as “days without an accident” — boosts morale and reinforces your organization’s commitment to employee well-being.

School Noise Management & Visual Safety Communication

School cafeteria lifestyle illustration showing wall-mounted yellow and black Sound & Safety signals with green lights illuminated above students at lunch tables

The problem: Busy cafeterias, gyms, hallways, and classrooms can become noisy, making it difficult to communicate expectations and hear announcements. Staff need a clear visual cue that supports everyday volume management and established school safety procedures.

The solution: The App-Controlled Sound & Safety Signal lets staff select steady or flashing red, yellow, and green indications from a smartphone or tablet using the free Lights To Go Inc app. Staff choose the display; the signal does not automatically measure noise levels.

Everyday Sound Management

  • 🟢 Steady Green: Normal volume expectations.
  • 🟡 Steady Yellow: A reminder to lower the volume.
  • 🔴 Steady Red: All quiet until green returns, unless staff give another direction.

Staff-Controlled Safety Cues

Staff can also select flashing indications to support the school’s established safety instructions. Define and teach each indication as part of your school’s procedures. The signal supplements, rather than replaces, alarms, announcements, staff direction, and emergency procedures.

Available in Safety Yellow or Gloss Black, with AC power cord and universal L-shaped mounting brackets included.

Need a Yellow Flashing Signal?

Planning a warning signal for a school zone, pedestrian crossing, or bike-path crossing? Start with a single yellow PSY200-Y-AC LED signal, pair it with an AFAC1 AC LED flasher, and add the mounting arm and closure kit listed below.

Build This Configuration

Components are sold separately. Assembly, wiring, and a suitable 120VAC power supply are required; this is not a ready-to-plug-in kit. A continuously operating flasher does not provide scheduled school-zone operation or pedestrian/bicycle activation.

For school-zone or crossing installations, confirm the complete design, placement, signs, controls, and approvals with the responsible traffic authority before installation. These components alone do not establish an approved crossing system.

Want help putting it together? Factory installation of flashers into the signal head is available by quotation. Call 316.409.4911 to discuss your application, mounting, and control needs.

Need Roadway Signals? We’ve Got You Covered.

Whether you’re planning a signal installation for a private, city, county, state, or federal road, we can help you select signal heads and mounting hardware for your project.

The PSY200-RYG features 8-inch (200mm) red, yellow, and green LED modules in a durable safety-yellow polycarbonate housing with cap-style visors. Choose the WMF2 Signal Mounting Arm Set for upper and lower mounting support, or explore Post Top Mounting Hubs for a pole-top installation. Confirm the mounting configuration and fit for your project before ordering.

Signal and mounting hardware are sold separately. Confirm the signal size, electrical configuration, mounting, controls, applicable MUTCD requirements, and project-specific approvals with the responsible roadway authority before ordering. These items do not constitute a complete traffic-control system.

One Lane. Two Directions. Need Traffic Control?

Example installation showing an LED signal, radar vehicle detector, solar panel, and control cabinet. Equipment and power options are selected for the application.

The problem: A narrow bridge, tunnel, driveway, parking ramp, or shared passage may have room for traffic in only one direction at a time. Drivers approaching from opposite ends need coordinated signals and enough time for vehicles to clear the lane before traffic changes direction.

The solution: The MSLC Modular Single Lane Control System coordinates alternating traffic through a shared lane. Its modular configuration supports applications ranging from narrow private drives and indoor vehicle passages to temporary lane closures, with the signals, controls, sensors, and installation selected for the site.

How the Basic Timed Cycle Works

  1. Direction A receives green while direction B waits at red.
  2. Both directions wait at red while vehicles clear the shared lane.
  3. Direction B receives green while direction A waits at red.
  4. Both directions wait at red again for clearance, then the cycle repeats.

The basic timed mode gives each direction equal green time and a configured clearance interval. Timing must be selected for the lane length, vehicle travel time, and site conditions.

Illustration of one stage in the cycle: direction B has green while direction A waits at red.

Control Options for Your Application

The MSLC controller offers eight selectable operating modes, including automatic timed cycling without sensors, sensor-triggered directional priority, default-red operation, manual red-control options, and timed operation with a traffic-hold input. Vehicle detection options include microwave radar and inductive loops, depending on the configuration.

Hardwired coordination is the preferred approach described in the system flyer. Where wiring between locations is not practical, contact us to discuss whether a wireless configuration is suitable for your application.

Where It Can Help

Single-lane bridges and tunnels; narrow private drives; parking ramps and blind corners; mine access drives; indoor vehicle passages; overhead-door approaches; and road maintenance, construction, or utility-work lane closures.

This is a site-configured system, not a universal plug-and-play package. Have your site engineer establish the required timing, power, detection, and mounting configuration. Temporary roadway use and any replacement of flaggers or pilot cars require review and authorization by the responsible roadway authority.

Automatic Signal Cycle

Got the Traffic Light. Now How Do You Bring It to Life?

Not everyone looks at a traffic light and thinks, “I need that in my garage, man cave, bar, or club.” But here you are, with a unique collection of signals and a vision for lighting them up!

The problem: You’ve found the perfect signal, but you want more than a light that simply stays on. You want it to cycle through its indications like the signals on the street, as part of your own display.

The solution: An automatic cycle controller brings your display to life with a repeating sequence. At Lights To Go Inc, helping collectors light up their signals is how we got started. Explore our most popular controllers below to find an option for your signal, or follow the link to our full line of automatic cycle controls.

Automatic timed cycle controls for your traffic light display. Available in AC or DC power and with multi-light capabilities, depending on the model. Many sequences are available.
